BIOGRAFIA
Inizia a lavorare con L. Visconti (Gruppo di famiglia in un interno, L’innocente), G. Patroni Griffi ( La divina creatura), M. Monicelli e altri. Nel 1978 si laurea in Architettura presso l’Università di Firenze. Dal 1990 lavora con F. Perry (Il Monsignore), M. Cimino (The Sicilian), P. Hunt (The Last Days of Pompeii), J. Champion (Portrait of a Lady), A. Minghella (The Talented Mr. Ripley), M. Scorsese (Gangs of New York), Wes Anderson (The Life Aquatic), S. Sodeberg (Ocean’s 12), J.J. Abrahams (Mission Impossible III), M. Nichols (Angels in America). Scenografo per Exorcist, The beginning, The Nativity Story, Borgia tv serie. Nel 2012 scenografo del corto Prada Castello Cavalcanti di Wes Anderson. Nel 2014 Risen di K. Reinolds. Nel 2017 ha curato, presso la Fondazione Prada a Milano e per il festival di Cannes, l’installazione Carne y Arena di A.Inarritu. Al momento sta realizzando le scenografie del film The Pope per Netflix, regia di Fernando Meirelles.
BIOGRAPHY
He began working with L.Visconti (Gruppo di famiglia in un interno, L’innocente), G. Patroni Griffi ( La divina creatura), M. Monicelli and others. In 1978 he graduated in Architecture at the University of Florence. Since 1990 he has worked with F. Perry (Il Monsignore), M. Cimino (The Sicilian), P. Hunt (The Last Days of Pompeii), J. Champion (Portrait of a Lady), A. Minghella (The Talented Mr. Ripley), M. Scorsese (Gangs of New York), Wes Anderson (The Life Aquatic), S. Sodeberg (Ocean’s 12), J.J. Abrahams (Mission Impossible III), M. Nichols (Angels in America). Production designer for: Exorcist, The beginning, The Nativity Story, Borgia (tv series). In 2012 he was the production designer of the Prada short movie: Castello Cavalcanti directed by Wes Anderson. In 2014 Risen directed by K. Reinolds. In 2017 he curate the installation Carne y Arena by A.Inarritu at the Prada Foundation in Milan and for the Cannes festival. At the moment he is making the sets for the Netflix movie The Pope directed by Fernando Meirelles.
